On Thursday, May 29, 2026, the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) hosted its annual Bags Tournament and this year, the cause hit close to home. Every dollar raised went to Team Breast Friends, a local nonprofit supporting Corridor residents battling breast cancer.
It was an evening of friendly competition, community, and purpose with cornhole boards lined up, agents and affiliates from across the Iowa City area showed up to throw bags, raise money, and rally behind a mission that matters.

Why Team Breast Friends
Founded in 2014 by a group of Corridor women, Team Breast Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a simple but powerful mission: to make a positive difference in the lives impacted by breast cancer and bring awareness through their efforts.
What sets them apart is how directly the support reaches local patients. Through their financial assistance program, Team Breast Friends provides grants to people undergoing breast cancer treatment in the Corridor to help cover the non-medical expenses that pile up during treatment, rent, utilities, transportation, and groceries. To date, the organization has raised and donated more than $606,000 to support local women and men going through treatment, and to help families weather the financial weight of a cancer diagnosis.
When YPN chose Team Breast Friends as this year’s beneficiary, it was a natural fit: a local group of professionals supporting a local nonprofit doing local good.
A Tournament with a Purpose
The Bags Tournament has become one of YPN’s signature events, part fundraiser, part networking night, part summer kickoff. Teams squared off bracket-style, sponsors stepped up to back the cause, and the energy was equal parts competitive and community-minded.
By the end of the night, the real win wasn’t a trophy, it was the check headed to Team Breast Friends to keep their financial assistance program funded for Corridor families who need it most.
