We’re beyond proud to share some incredible news from the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, and it hits close to home.
Tommy Schorer, Realtor with LKR, served as a key part of Team Iowa’s Intercollegiate Unified Flag Football team, and they had a run worth celebrating. The team dominated their way through the opening rounds, defeating Texas in Game 1, Mississippi in Game 2, and Oklahoma in Game 3. They then topped Texas again in a hard-fought semifinal, before falling by just 2 points in the final game.
Silver medal. And every bit of it earned.

Unified Sports brings together athletes with and without intellectual disabilities to compete side by side, and this team is a shining example of what that looks like in action. The dedication, heart, and teamwork on display in Minneapolis represented Iowa, and LKR, in the best possible way.
