Zach joins Lepic-Kroeger, Realtors® and brings with him an exceptional track record of service, relationship-building, and community investment.

Before entering real estate, Zach spent eight years as a business education teacher at Liberty High School in the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD), where he left a lasting impact on students and families alike. Recognizing an opportunity to expand access to higher education, Zach was instrumental in establishing the first dual-credit business courses taught on-campus in the ICCSD through a landmark partnership with Kirkwood Community College. Over the course of his teaching career, both at Liberty High School and as an adjunct professor at Kirkwood Community College, Zach generated more than $300,000 in tuition savings for local families.

Beyond the classroom, Zach and his wife Emily, endowed the “Future Business Leader” award, presented annually to Liberty High School students who demonstrated exceptional achievement in business education.

Prior to education, Zach enjoyed a 12-year professional baseball career in organizations including the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox. He remains active in the game today as an assistant coach for his son’s local baseball team.

Now focused on commercial real estate in the Iowa City area, Zach brings the same community-first philosophy that defined his previous careers. He has long lived by the principle: “People don’t care what you know, until they know that you care.” That commitment to genuine relationships and client service is at the heart of everything he does  and the foundation on which he’s building his real estate practice.
